Some of our readers found the registry edit tweaks a little too dicey and thus avoided them completely. Consequently, I've decided to make a post here, explaining how you can backup your entire windows registry. This helps when you screw things up while editing your windows registry.
All you do then to revert to your original settings is double click the backup file!
So lets get going..
1. Head over to the "Run" menu. Do (the microsoft button)+r or Start>Run.
2. Enter "regedit" in the text field and hit enter to fire up Windows Registry editor.
3. On the left pane, navigate upwards, right to the top and highlight "My computer"
4. Then click "File" and "Export..." in the drop-down menu.
5. Now you've got to save your backup file anywhere on your computer with any name you wish. I recommend you to name it as "Registry Backup 29_07_2008" or something like that so you know what the file is and when the backup was made.
6. Click "Save" once you've selected your desired destination.
A .reg (Registration file) of approximately 50mb is created.
Your now done with making your backup!
After editing your registry while trying tweaks on this site or any other site, in case things do not go as planned, just come back to this file and double click it!
You will be asked if you're sure you want to add the information to your registry. Click Yes your done!
So now you can try out the registry edit-related tweaks here without fear!

iPhone :Is it really worth it.
Amidst great enthusiasm and long wait the iPhone was launched yesterday in India.But the killing truth is its price that is 31k(720$) for 8gb variant and 36k(837$) for 16gb variant which is three times the price of iPhone cost in US.This has severely deterred hopes of many individuals wanting to buy the new iPhone.Three times the price !!!! thats obviously too much.So high is the price that many banks have offered loan schemes to buy the gadget.Considering the features you consider it a good purchase but when u consider that even the new version has basic feature lacking like mail forwarding,contact search etc.First day saw over 200 bookings which may see an increase in few days.But for that the price needs to be subsidized so that it can match the prices in other counterparts.For this price you may geta more advanced gadget than this one.But still the ones liking its style and design have gone forward to buy it inspite of its price.

One97 has entered into a strategic partnership with Vringo where users are allowed to set their own visual or video ringtones and choose the video, avatar, slideshow, or picture they want their friends to see when they call. Vringo is the first viral mobile application allowing users to seamlessly join a community, then choose, create, and share video ringtones. Vringo is a completely hosted, client server based solution that is easy to use and manage.

This tariff package is available through a vPower recharge voucher.

Apple Launches iPhone v2.0 OS
The launch of the iPhone 3G has everyone excited, but what about those few who decided to stick with the original? Fear not, for v2.0 (OS) is now available for download from Apple.
However, as great as it may be that a few of the 3G’s goodies will now be incorporated into your first-gen iPhone, Apple has stated that should you install the v2.0 OS into your existing handset without backing up your data (for which you can use iTunes) you’ll lose all of it.
The update procedure is fairly simple. Connect the handset to the PC, open up your iTunes application, and simply click on the update button that appears in the iPhone menu in iTunes. Do remember to back up your data first. The final step is to just sit back and wait.

$199 iPhone 3G introduced by Apple
In his keynote address to open Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) on Monday, Steve Jobs officially announced the iPhone 3G. Perhaps the most important revelation was the price, which at $199 for the entry level (8GB) model is half the original’s current $399 pricetag. He indicated that the price was based on research where consumers who have so far passed on the iPhone said cost was the biggest barrier. Not surprisingly he didn’t talk about his previous prediction of 10 million iPhones sold by the end of 2008. Why is that significant? Maybe because at the current (pre-iPhone 3G) prices it appears unlikely to happen.
In fact despite “selling out some number of weeks ago,” Jobs said only 6 million have been sold in the approximately 11 months since the initial launch on June 29 of last year. Jobs showed off the speed difference between the iPhone 3G’s “amazingly zippy” performance on newer 3G networks, compared with the EDGE connection available to owner’s of the original. The same web page that took nearly a minute to load using an EDGE connection took just over 20 seconds across 3G. He also compared it to a Nokia N95 and Treo 750, which reportedly took 33 and 34 seconds respectively to load the same page (using 3G) while delivering it in a less complete mobile format. He also pointed out that 3G speed is “actually approaching Wi-Fi.”
Other changes include the use of plastic instead of aluminum for the back (presumably to bring production costs down), as well as the addition of a 2 Megapixel camera and GPS. Near the end of his presentation a map showed 70 countries where the 3G iPhone will officially be available while ‘It’s a Small World’ played in the background. By contrast, the original iPhone is only offered in 6 countries. The iPhone 3G’s initial launch, on July 11, will actually only include 22 countries, with the other 48 planned by year’s end.

YouTube India Goes Live
I just checked, and Youtube India has gone live today, with a host of Indian content partners - NDTV, UTVi, Bindass, Zoom and Indiaglitz are broadcast partners, content from Rajshri Media, and music related content from Music Today (part of the India Today group) and PhatPhish Records. There’s sports related content from KrishCricket as well, and educational videos from NPTEL (IIT and IIS JV) and IGNOU. A few non-profit partners as well. Strangely, I didn’t find Eros among YouTube India’s partners...We’d reported earlier that that YouTube India was supposed to launch today.
Much of this content was already up on YouTube, and many of these partnerships have been signed over the past year. This is just a case of segmentation. But how will this segmentation help? YouTube which part of the world users are coming and serves them the videos being watched by users from the same location; the promoted videos are Indian, but the featured videos are international. An India focused site will help the company market it to Indian advertisers, and get more Indian content providers on board.
Here’s a funny video on the YouTube India launch, being promoted on the companys international site. They’ve also launched a YouTube India blog, announcing the launch here.

[3] A window will be opened named 'Computer Management'. Double-Click on the 'Disk Management' option under the 'Storage' item at the left panal of the opened window.
[4] Now, in the right panal, all the 'Drives' and 'Devices' are shown. Just Right-Click on the 'Drives' and 'Devices', choose 'Change Drive Letters and Paths'.
[5] Left-Click on the 'Remove' button.
[6] A Confirmation-message will be displayed contains 'Yes' and 'No' buttons. Click on the 'Yes' button.
Repeat the above steps for all of your 'Drivers' and 'Devices'.
[The Drive which contains your Operating System will no be invisible through this process]
[7] Close the 'Computer Management' window.
Now, Double-Click on your 'My Computer' icon. All the 'Drivers' and 'Devices' will not be shown there.

Method 1: Disable Camera Sound completely
The camera sounds come from the files camerashutter.3gp and camerafocus.3gp. If these files dont exist, the camera is silenced. This means the camera makes no sound even if the phone is not in Silent Mode. You could also delete only camerafocus.3gp for example, if you only want the shutter sound to be heard.
The camera sound files can be deleted from /tpa/preset/system/sound
Method 2: Enable Silent Mode for camera sounds
This method will enable you to disable the camera sounds by turning on Silent Mode. When not in silent mode, camera sounds will operate as normal.
Copy the customize.xml file in /tpa/preset/custom to the computer and make a backup. Open customize.xml in an editor and change the following setting from false to true:

You can remove the storage limitation so that you can store more than 500 sms�s. This trick works by changing the sms message store to the tpa folder, where the message limitation is not in force
Copy the file /ifs/settings/messaging/pref_store.txt from the phone to the computer, make a backup, then edit it to read /tpa instead of /smsdata, then delete the file from the phone then copy in the new version.

Copy the file /ifs/settings/messaging/pref_store.txt from the phone to the computer, make a backup, then edit it to read /tpa instead of /smsdata, then delete the file from the phone then copy in the new version.
Now you need to create the message store in the /tpa folder. Create the following folder structure in the /tpa folder:

/tpa/messaging/sms/msg
/tpa/messaging/sms/FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

ACCESS CID49 FILESYSTEM AND INCREASE SOUND,CHANGE CAM DRIVER ETC OF K750I

Now you can access your filesystem on your CID49!!! That means you can customize your fone manually, change drivers, modify the look of your menus and God knows what not!!! Heres how…

Unpack the folder.
As an example, I will show you how to change the speaker sound driver and camera driver for your mobile. Download the new drivers from here….

1) Firstly, we need to patch our MAIN firmware to make it compatible with FAR plugin. For this remove SIM and connect your phone with XS++ (or any other flashing program that you use), and check to flash MAIN. Click ‘…’ and browse to the FAR folder and then to Plugins folder. Select the file according to your phone model, in my case, ‘k750w800_r2e_dcu.49r.ssw’ (for K750/W800/W700 CID49) . Now hit flash . 5 flashblocks will be loaded in 5 seconds!!!). Now our MAIN is patched.
2) Close XS++, unplug fone and re-insert battery to refresh. Now open FAR manager program. Press F11 and then select SEFP plugin. in the following screen select… Device:DCU60, Speed: 921600 Boot Script: According to fone model (k750_w800_CID49 in my case). Impatient souls would select k750_w800_CID36 by mistake… so watch out!!! Hehe… Now Enter The MATRIX!!!
Connect your fone as we do in flashing… your fone should get detected. after a few seconds, a screen will show you two folders, FLASH and FS.
Note that the window is divided into two… the left side represents your phone contents. The right side represents your hard drive contents… currently inside FAR manager folder.
3) Now double click on FS and wait for a couple of minutes till it breaks into your FileSytem. Now you are inside the den!!! All files that govern your fone’s functionality are right before your eyes!!! Before we copy new drivers into your fone, u must create a backup folder for your original drivers (in case you need them). So on the right side (harddrive) of your screen, click anywhere and press F7 to create a new folder. Name it as ‘backup’. On the left side (fone FS) open the folder, ifs>settings>camera… you will see a file named camdriver0.dat. this is your camera driver!!! Click and drag this driver to the backup folder. now, to delete the original driver from fone’s FS, select it and click delete (bottom right of screen) or simply press F8. now goto the ‘new drivers’ folder on hard-drive and drag the file named camdriver0.dat into camera folder on the left, where we had the older file. We have successfully changed the camera driver. Now goto ifs>settings>acoustic. You will find a number of files there. Search for ‘farfield_play.apf’. again, drag this file to backup folder and delete the original from fone. Now drag and drop farfield_play.apf inside the new drivers folder into the fone. We are done with changing the drivers!!!
4) Now, that we are finished with our operations, we need to shutdown the loader. For this keep on clicking ‘..’ (root of folder) until it asks you to shutdown CSFS loader. Click yes and close FAR manager, and unplug fone. Reinsert battery to refresh.
5) The final step is to un-patch the MAIN firmware. Again, open FAR manager program, and connect fone, the same way as before. This time goto FLASH instead of FS. Now your inside FLASH. On the left side, you are in FAR manager folder. goto Plugins folder and then to REST. You see a number of files… with prefix ‘REST_’ followed by your fone’s firmware version. Select the appropriate file of your MAIN firmware (I have a k750 flashed to w800 r1bc002 main so REST_W800_R1BC002 in my case) and drag it to anywhere on the left side. Hit flash. Close FAR manager and unplug your fone. The job is done!!!
Insert SIM and turn on your fone and see the difference for yourselves…
The speaker (not headsets) volume while playing songs on media player is way 2 louder!!! People around you will envy you… especially the TOKIA users.
Also note that in the new camera driver, frames per seconds (fps) in viewfinder has increased and autofocus is superfast!!!
Enjoy the new experience…

Flashing K750(Cid36&49)to W800
You got your K750 the other day and you were damn satisfied with the gizmo… but the story does not end here. It seems Sony didn’t ship this set with some more features that its hardware can support… The company fooled the customers by changing the K750 casing to Orange-White and named it W800i…
In short, the K750 and W800 have the EXACT same motherboard… which made some nut cases out there to try out some dirty tricks!!! And the results were fruitful… K750 can easily be flashed to W800!!! The only barrier that separated K750 from a W800 was the software and that has been broken!!!!
Now… as I promised my friends, here is a step-by step easy guide to flashing your K750 to W800!
ATTENTION:
W800 firmware is encrypted as CID36. K750 is available in 2 encryptions … CID36 and CID49. Older K750s (7-8 months old) came with CID36. If your phone is new, it has to be CID49. You will find out your CID number in the tutorial itself so don’t worry about that. Just follow the instructions…
CID36 K750s can be directly flashed to W800. For CID49 K750s, we need to first convert the W800 CID36 firmware to CID49 and then flash. Things will become clearer in the tutorial itself, so no need to panic at this point!
Before flashing, back up all your data, contacts etc. etc. because your phone will be completely wiped out in the process.
Remove SIM and memory card for the entire procedure.
During flashing process, avoid touching your PC or phone or USB cable. Do not take your eyes off the screen during the entire procedure.
Do not let your phone turn ON at any point of time. Flashing takes place only when phone is switched OFF!!!!
Flash your phone in the exact same order as I have given. i.e
1) Flash FS
2) Customize FS
3) Flash MAIN
Reason being XS++ has a bug and flashing works this way only.
The entire process may take between 15 minutes to half- hour.
You need following things(all the major components will be available at http://www.itprotebe.cz
XS++: This program is used to flash you phone’s firmware!!! This also lets you check your CID number!!!
Gslide: This program converts W800 CID36 firmware to CID49, to make the firmware compatible to K750 CID49 phones. CID36 users need not use this.
W800 Firmware: Your Main and File System files. Lets say these are your W800s operating system files!!!
USB Flash Driver: The driver you need to enable your phone for flashing through USB cable. Note that these drivers are NOT the same ones you get on K750 PC suite CD!
Now we are ready to flash!
If your phone gets fucked up, then its not my fault! Although this process is 100% safe, but I know there are a few dumbasses out there who would want to go overboard with this. So my advice to you is do not, at any point, deviate from the instructions… just follow everything blindly. DO NOT ASK SILLY QUESTIONS.
If you have flashed before, or have used the Sony Ericsson Update Service sometime earlier, then your flash drivers may be installed so you can skip STEP1. For people who are new to flashing, this is a must!
STEP1: Installing USB Flash Driver.
Turn off your phone. Remove SIM and memory card, and re-insert battery. Do not turn ON.
Inside K750toW800 folder, goto XS++ folder and open the program. now click START. While pressing and holding the ‘c’ button on your fone’s keypad, insert USB cable. Windows will detect a new hardware and ‘Install new hardware’ wizard pops up. Release the ‘c’ button. In the wizard, click ‘no, not at this time’ and next. Choose to install from a specified location and click next. Under ‘search for the best drivers to install’, check ‘include this location in the search’. Under ‘browse’, choose the path to the unpacked folder you downloaded and select the folder USB Flash Driver. Now click next and let the windows install the driver.
After installing the driver, close XS++ and disconnect phone and turn it off in case it has switched on. Remove battery for 2 seconds and re-insert it (to refresh your phone).
Now your phone is ready to be flashed. But first let us check your CID number.
Again open XS++, click START, and insert cable while pressing ‘c’ the same way as before. Your fone gets detected and on the left side of the screen, you get the detailed info of your phone including the EROM CID number.
If you have CID 36, then skip STEP2 and go directly to STEP3. Do not close XS++ or unplug your fone.
STEP2:
Now, you know you have a CID49. So our job is to convert the CID36 firmware to CID49.
Open Gslide. for flashfile, click ‘…’ and select the file named ‘W800_R1BC002_MAIN_EU_EMEA.bin’ inside the W800 Firmware folder.
Inside ‘output’ type in the path… C:\MAINFLASH.bin
Now click ‘Process’. After sliding process is completed, again click ‘…’ for flashfile and select file ‘W800_R1BC002_FS_EMEA6.bin’ inside the same folder. Under output type in C:\FSFLASH.bin and hit process. Close the whole program after sliding completes.
Now you have generated 2 files in C:\ drive using Gslide. MAINFLASH.bin and FSFLASH.bin
STEP3: Flashing FS.
For CID36: Your phone is already detected by XS++. Under Select Firmware, check Flash File System, and then click ’…’ , now select the file ‘W800_R1BC002_FS_EMEA6.bin’ inside W800 Firmware folder. Hit flash… the flashing process is now initiated. After completion of 291 blocks, it will say either ‘done flashing’ or hang at ‘finishing flash’. Don’t worry about it. Close the program and unplug phone. Again take-out and reinsert battery to refresh. Goto STEP4.
For CID49: Inside XS++, Under Select Firmware, check Flash File System, and then click ’…’ , now select the file ‘FSFLASH.bin’ in the C:\ drive which we generated from Gslide. Hit flash to start flashing process. After completion of 291 blocks, it will say either ‘done flashing’ or hang at ‘finishing flash’. Don’t worry about it. Close the program and unplug phone. Again take-out and reinsert battery to refresh.
STEP4: Customizing FS.
Common for CID36 and CID49: Again open XS++ and connect the phone same way as we did before. Now check Customize File System and then select phone model ‘W800’, select CDA and region ‘EMEA_6(CDA102430/6)’. Hit Flash. It will ask you whether you want to use ‘breakin’ or ‘brute-force’. Click ‘yes’ for breakin and strictly follow instructions on the left side of the screen. It will ask you to connect and re-connect phone 2-3 times by press and hold ‘c’ method. Do not panic at any point here, just follow the instructions carefully on the left. At the point when it says ‘FS activation’, wait for 3 minutes. After completion, close XS++ and unplug fone. Refresh by re-inserting battery.
STEP5: Flashing MAIN.
For CID36: Open XS++ and again connect your phone the same way. Under Select Firmware, check Flash Main, and then click ’…’ , now select the file ‘W800_R1BC002_MAIN_EU_EMEA.bin’ inside W800 Firmware folder. Hit flash… the flashing process is now initiated. After completion of 291 blocks, it will say either ‘done flashing’ or hang at ‘finishing flash’. Unplug your phone and close XS++.
For CID49: Open XS++ and again connect your phone the same way. Under Select Firmware, check Flash Main, and then click ’…’ , now select the file ‘MAINFLASH.bin’ in the C:\ drive which we generated from Gslide. Hit flash… the flashing process is now initiated. After completion of 291 blocks, it will say either ‘done flashing’ or hang at ‘finishing flash’. Unplug your phone and close XS++.
STEP6:
Now, insert your SIM and memory card and turn on the phone, wait for sometime as the phone takes time loading from a brand new firmware.
KABOOM!!! You have a brand new W800!!! Enjoy the cool new WALKMAN startup!

Format hard disk using notepad

Hide Files in Image Files !!!
Sometimes we are eager to hide some files on the system !!!
(I won't ask Why ???)
So, now i have got a trick to hide files in image files !!!
Here it is :
** You require WinRAR installed on your PC for this trick.
** First add your files to .rar and i.e. say files.rar
** Say you have a image as img.jpg
** Now, save files.rar and img.jpg in c:\ drive.
** Click start >> Run
** Type cmd
** Now in command prompt type cd..
** Again type cd..
** Type copy /b img.jpg + files.rar new.jpg
-------------- Please Note --------------
>> This command will concatenate the two files into the new file new.jpg
>> Don't type files.rar + img.jpg instead of img.jpg + files.rar.
>> Now, (size of new.jpg) = (size of img.jpg) + (size of files.rar) .

Modem Uncapping (increasing your modem speed)
Most of us will be feeling that the surfing speed which is allocated by our ISP is not enough. People with 64Kbps will think 128Kbps will be cool speed. People with 128Kbps will think 256Kbps will be cool and so on
This tutorial will teach you how to increase your 64Kbps link to 512Kbps or what ever speed you like.
It is very much possible to do this. With a bit of luck if your Cable Internet Service Provider are very uneducated on how this very new technology works and leave some key loopholes open for you to grab vital information on how to accomplish this task. But this [tutorial] will no guarantee you 100% success.
Okay here we go. I'm going to try to explain you as best as I can to accomplish re-configuring your SB5100, SB4100 or SB3100 cable modem
Theory of cable modem working
All the cable modems when it boots up it will search for an "Image file" where in all configuration like your upload speed limit and download speed limit is defined. This "Image file" is stored in ISP`s TFTP server. Modem will be pre-configured with the ISP`s TFTP server IP address and the Image file name to be downloaded. When the modem boots up it query TFTP server and download Image file from [TFTP] [server] according to this this our speed limits will be set.
Our Mission:
Get this Image file from ISP`s TFTP server, reconfigure it according to our need and force our modem to download this file from our Computer rather than downloading it from our ISP`s TFTP server.
1). Get cable [modems] MAC-Addreaa
You can either look at the back of the modem to get this MAC Address or you can logon to your Cable modem with your Web Browser hxxp://192.168.100.1/ . This is internal HTML pages stored within your DOCsis cable modem (SB5100, SB4100 and SB3100) that gives you even more vital information on configuration. Unless it is turned off by your ISP. This feature might be totally turned off by your ISP.
2). Get your [ISP] TFTP server IP address
a) There's a program called QUERY.EXE from Weird Solutions which is a BOOTP packet request program that will tell you everything you need to know, without all these extra steps. It will display the Image Filename, TFTP server address, which is really all you need to get started. To use this BOOTP QUERY tool, you need the MAC address of your cable modem or Beginners can use DOCSIS Diagnosis utility

Using the above tools you will get the information of your ISP`s TFTP server IP and the name of your "Image file" stored in that TFTP server
All your vital information is stored in this file, One of which is the MaxRateDown 2621440; MaxRateUp 393216;. (This was my ISP settings. Which you can see is similar to what speed I was getting. 40KB/s up and 250 KB/s down)
Among these, the one we need are:
Configuration [TFTP] [Server] = 194.*.*..90 (replace this with yours throughout in the doc)
Configuration filename = isrr.bin (replace this with yours throughout in the doc)
And
IP fragments created = 0
IP address.10.xxx.xxx.xxx = 10.xxx.xxx.xxx
IP address.192.168.100.1 = 192.168.100.1 (the IP address of the cable modem, (replace this with yours throughout in the doc)
IP-to-If-index.10.xxx.xxx.xxx = 2
Suggestion: You can do this step by sniffing the modem i.e. "192.168.100.1" when modem boots up. I never tried this method. Try your luck.
3) Download Image file from ISP`s TFTP server.
For doing this got to your command prompt and use below commands with out quotes and bracket.
"C:\tftp -i GET "
Okay now you got Image file from your ISP`s TFTP server.
4). Decrypt the Image file which you downloaded from ISP`s TFTP server
For all you can use the DOCsis tool http://sourceforge.net/projects/docsis to decode
5). Modify the Image file
Change your computer's TCP configuration same as ISP`s TFTP server (i.e. IP address same as ISP`s TFTP server)
Go to my network place and right click ->properties
Select your LAN Card right click ->property->Internet Protocol (TCP-IP) double click on it and change it to as following values
Configure your TPC's TCP settings as below
IP: 194.*.*.90 (replace with the ISP's TFTP server)
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1 (replace with your cable modem's IP address)
Note: Gateway should be 192.168.100.1 then only your modem can communicate with computer.
6). Encrypt the modified Image file (Save it using Docsis)
7). Host TFTP server in your computer
Download TFTP Server software and host TFTP server in your computer
You can download TFTP server from: ftp://ftp.ida.net/pub/wireless/tftpd32.exe
8). Put Image file in the base directory of your TFTP
Start TFTPD32 server. Go to Settings and set the Security to None. Increase the timeout to 20secs and the Max Retransmit to 6. Choose to translate UNIX filenames. Make sure it's base directory point to where the isrr.bin is (i.e. the image file which you modified). If you need to replicate a directory pathname along with the image file, then make a directory from root that corresponds to the image file pathname.
Restart your modem, and AS SOON as the SEND light goes solid, you should see a receive on your TFTP server i.e. your PC
9). [Restart] your [modem]
10). Changer your PC's IP back as given by ISP
11). OOPS Done. Start surfing with your new speed
Note: This speed will remain same until you restart your cable modem. So each time you reboot your modem you have to follow the steps 7 to 11

If you need to replicate a directory pathname along with the image file, then make a directory from root that corresponds to the image file pathname.
Restart your modem, and AS SOON as the SEND light goes solid, you should see a receive on your TFTP server i.e. your PC
9). [Restart] your [modem]
10). Changer your PC's IP back as given by ISP
11). OOPS Done. Start surfing with your new speed
Note: This speed will remain same until you restart your cable modem. So each time you reboot your modem you have to follow the steps 7 to 11

GUIDE TO CHANGE THE ACOUSTICS DRIVER ( INCREASE SOUND) OF K750i
To do this you may need this tools----
1.USB flash Drivers
2.XS++
3.FAR manager with SEFP
NEW ACCOUSTIC DRIVERS SET

1) [FOR R1DB and R1CA both ]::Firstly, we need to patch our MAIN firmware to make it compatible with FAR and SEFP. For this remove SIM and connect your phone with XS++ [as we do in flashing,with the 'c' key pressed](or any other flashing program that you use), and check to -"Flash MAIN Firmware". Click ‘…’[path] and browse to the FAR folder and then to Plugins folder. Select the file according to your phone model, in our case, ‘k750w800_r2e_dcu.49r.ssw’ (for K750/W800/W700 CID49) . Now hit flash . 5 flashblocks will be loaded in 5 seconds!!!). Now our MAIN is patched.
2) [FOR R1DB and R1CA both]::Close XS++, unplug fone and re-insert battery to refresh. Now open FAR manager program. Press F11 and then select SEFP plugin. in the following screen select… Device:DCU60, Speed: 921600 ,Boot Script: According to fone model (k750_w800_CID49) Do it carefully!!! … Now Hit --Enter The MATRIX!!!Connect your fone when asked with the "c"button pressed,,after detection release "c" button.after a few seconds, a screen will show you two folders, FLASH and FS. Note that the window is divided into two… the left side represents your phone contents. The right side represents your PC's hard drive contents… currently inside FAR manager folder.
3.[ R1DB and R1CA both]:: Now double click on FS and wait for a couple of minutes till it breaks into your FileSytem. Now you are inside the den!!! All files that govern your fone’s functionality are right before your eyes!!! Before u copy something into your fone, u must create a backup folder for your original files (in case you need them). So on the right side (harddrive) of your screen, click anywhere and press F7 to create a new folder. Name it as ‘backup’. On the left side (fone FS) go to --ifs/settings/acoustic/ and u will find ur sound drivers there,,click and drag it to your backup folder and to delete the original file from fone’s FS, select it and click delete (bottom right of screen) or simply press F8.
4.[ R1DB and R1CA both]:: Copy all your new sound drivers from the new acoustic folder which is dere in the hard drive Far folder into the ifs/settings/acoustic/ folder.......this is it...u r done ...!!!!!Now, that we are finished with our operations, we need to shutdown the loader. For this keep on clicking ‘..’ (root of folder)
until it asks you to shutdown CSFS loader. Click yes and close FAR manager, and unplug fone. Reinsert battery to refresh.
5) FOR R1DB and R1CA both]::The final step is to un-patch the MAIN firmware. Again, open FAR manager program, and connect fone, the same way as before. This time goto FLASH instead of FS. and now in FAR manager folder. goto Plugins folder and then to REST. You see a number of files… with prefix ‘REST_’ followed by your fone’s firmware version. Select the appropriate file of your MAIN firmware (REST_W700_R1DB001 or REST_W700_R1CA whichever firmware u r using currently) and drag it to anywhere on the left side. select Copy then in the new window Hit flash. Quit FAR manager and unplug your fone. The job is done!!!
REMEMBER THAT EVRYTIME U ATTACH UR FONE TO XS++ OR FAR U HAV TO REMOVE UR SIM CARD AND SWITCH UR FONE OFF ......AFTER EVRY STEP U HAV TO REMOVE AND REINSERT UR FONE TO REFRESH......

Flashing W700i
First Some Basics Of Flashing:
we play with the software and the drivers in this process......
firstly check ur firmware version by pressing
"MOVE RIGHT, *,MOVE LEFT, MOVE LEFT, *,MOVE LEFT, * "
WHERE MOVE IS FOR THE MOVEMENT OF THE JOYSTICK
There r two available for our phones .....R1CA and R1DB......
R1CA is the previous version of firmware while R1DB is the newer one which u get after upgrading your phone thru SEUS or the Sony Ericsson Update Service....
R1CA has the best sound quality......while R1DB has supressed sound...lower quality megabass but increase in battery life and upgraded camera driver version...
In the 4shared account i have uploaded the new camera 2.4 driver frm R1DB.....which can be used on R1CA main firmware as well....
so to improve sound quality we change back frm R1db to R1CA.....if u already have R1CA ....u need not flash it again for R1CA ...we can directly change the accoustic nd menus and other modifications thru far manager..
Our firmware has two parts.....Firmware MAIN and Firmware FS.....FS is the filesystem of our phone....which has the drivers and the files....which r required to work.....and the MAIN is like the platform for the Hardware.....
We can use the Main of R1CA with the FS of R1DB .....so if we upgrade thru SEUS......only by flashin the MAIN R1CA we get the megabass back...and the phone works perfectly well....
so avoid flashin the FS and customizin FS if u r not comfortable wid the process....u may mess up in this....
XS++ is the program for flashin ur phone and makin it compatible with FAR (read guides for this)
While FAR manager gives u opportunity to play with FS or the files inside ur phone....sound camera menu and other drivers......
now u will have some idea abt wht u r doin.....
keep in mind......if u already have R1CA u need not flsh it back again.....
Important Note:
Wrong procedure for Flashing can make your phone useless.

Unlocking the new Apple iPhone
Zibri released the latest version of One Night Stand software called ZiPhone, which unlocks the iphone within few Minutes… They have fixed all bugs in their old version of ZiPhone. And remade version 2.3. I think, this is first bugless version in this series. Follow these simple methods to Unlock your iPhone with the help of ZiPhone 2.3 by Zibri.
- Download Ziphone.
- Take a iPhone with Firmware v. 1.1.3 or update older with 1.1.3.
- Start the iPhone in RECOVERY mode. [Its IMP]
- Make sure to Close iTunes and all applications related to it as like ituneshelper.exe. You can close them in Task Manager >> Processes
- open ZiPhoneGUI.exe and just select options “Unlock”, “JailBreak”, “Activate” Only..
- Press the Start Button of ZiPhone 2.3
Important Notes -
- After unlocking, first install BSD Subsystem from Installer.app
- If your country is in Unsupported Country List, Please install iWorld from Installer.app
Also:
- If you are unlocking iPhone 1.1.3 with BL3.9 Select option iErase BL 3.9 Baseband.
